Chapter Members,
This is a friendly reminder that nominations for the 2021 Fort Worth Chapter of ISSA Officers are now underway and will conclude at 11:59 PM on Saturday, December 5th. The following positions are open:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Event Coordinator
Membership Coordinator
Information about the responsibilities of each position can be found in Article IV of our bylaws here.
Am I Eligible?
You have to be a ISSA Fort Worth chapter member to participate in election process. You may nominate yourself or another person for any open position. Becoming a member is easy and the steps can be found here.
How Long is the Term?
The term of office shall consist of one year. The month of December will be the Officer transition between out-going and new Officers.
Can I earn CPEs?
While we are not an accrediting body and do not have a formal arrangement with any other accrediting body, most offer about 40 CPEs for serving on a professional organization board related to a domain for your certification. Be sure to check the requirements for specific terms and conditions of the accrediting body.
Why Should I Serve?
Serving as an Officer for ISSA, Fort Worth has many benefits: leadership development, the respect of your colleagues and great resume material are just a few reasons. More importantly, you have an opportunity to give back to your local security community and continue the momentum of what we started many, many years ago. It can be your ideas that make 2020 the best year ever!
