Topic: Security Awareness, Phishing in COVID-19 Waters
ISSA Fort Worth Chapter – Virtual Security Discussion
Security awareness for remote workers has never been more important. It is fair to say that there have never been more people working from home as there are now during the COVID-19 pandemic, and home workers are now being actively targeted by cybercriminals who employ advanced phishing techniques as a easy way to gain access to their corporate networks to steal sensitive information, and install malware and ransomware.
People are usually the ‘weakest links’ in these attacks, since most threats are allowed access into companies’ networks through scams which employees have fallen for. ISSA Fort Worth Chapter has asked KnowBe4 to discuss the topic of Security Awareness and what the threat landscape looks like as it relates to how workers are at an increased risk during COVID-19 pandemic.
